My second deployment to Cyprus. 3 apartments all with amazing views out to the mediterranean sea. The initial part of this project was to examine the plans for all three & make spatial design adjustments where necessary. In certain sections we felt that the space was not utilised efficiently and so we made changes where appropriate.

Apartment 31- 2 Bed, 1 bathroom, 1 guest W.C.

Here we had a feature curved wall in the living room, however I felt that this detracted from the visual line of the room. We straightened the wall which led benefit to the ajoining apartment No.32 where we were then able to replace what would have been a wardrobe into an additional ensuite for the master bedroom. I also adapted the kitchen area to incorporate additional surface space and integrated units with an extra island.

The bathroom was long and so we had reasonable space to incorporate twin wash basins.

Apartment 32 – 2 bed, 2 ensuite, 1 guest W.C.

In this apartment there was a guest toilet that was elongated and accessed from the hallway. We felt that this could be incorporated into an ensuite bathroom with access from the guest bedroom as there was a cloak room that was then transformed into a guest W.C.

Apartment 33 - 3 bed, 1 ensuite, 1 guest bathroom, sauna -

This is the king-pin of the trilogy. Consisting of an additional bedroom & a unique feature for an apartment in this part of the world – a sauna combined with a shower area.

The master bedroom had a different entrance originally however we felt that the long entrance to the bedroom didn't make efficient use of the space so we adapted the entrance which gave way to a larger ensuite with both a bath & a shower area.

The guest bathroom is certainly a room of interest with a walk-in wet room to the left & a bidet & W.C. Section to the right finished the same.

All apartments have a similar theme running through.. The bedrooms are funrished with luxurious fabrics for the curtains, scatter cushions & throws, solid modern beds & side tables and individual sliding/ front opening designer wardrobes.

The living rooms consist of 'L'shaped 'Chalk white' leather setees, floating black laquered shelving, and a streamlined black laquered AV unit for storage.

The dining rooms are again an adaptation of an earlier theme consisting of newly concieved light panels, newly concieved dining table of stone & glass & a sculptural feature shelf storage unit in white laquer to catch light and throw interesting shadows. All the kitchens are a modern contemporary design with solid natural stone counter tops to complete the modern stately feel.

Mirrors are used in abundance be it in the bathrooms or in the living areas to add features, depth & to throw light about the dwellings.
